  Carbine Class

The class is centered around the popularity of the "pistol caliber carbines" that have been around for awhile, such as the Marlin Camp Carbines, the new Beretta Storm, and the Mech-Tech CCU units. The rules of the new class are as follows...

-All carbines must be chambered in 9mm Luger, 40 Smith and Wesson, or 45 ACP ONLY. ABSOLUTELY NO .223 OR .30 Carbine. Only the pistol calibers listed above will be allowed.

-These carbines shall be loaded with no more than 8 rounds maximum, the same as the Stock Auto class that is already in place for the pistols, this will keep the playing field level for all participants.

-The choice of sighting system is entirely open; red dot sights, Halo sights, iron sights, all are allowed thus far.

- Normal safe gun handling is mandatory. Since these firearms are not able to be holstered, they will be handled in a safe manner, using extreme caution to clear and show clear, "muzzle sweeping" will not be tolerated, the RO has the final word.

This class has been created to open up a new twist to the matches, and hopefully give a new challenge to those who already enjoy our courses. Don't forget, sign up for a second gun is only $10,  you may want to consider trying this in addition to your pistol!

Information on Shooting with more than 1 pistol:
If an individual wishes to enter more than 1 pistol into the competition, he or she must choose which pistol he wishes to shoot as his trophy pistol (the pistol that he or she wishes to register for their time for a trophy). The trophy pistol must be shot first in each scenario/lane. He or she must pay the standard $20 for the first pistol and then $10 for each additional pistol.

News (February 26, 2005): The Varmint Sillouette matches are not doing well. Unfortunately we may be forced to make a hard decision this year and not continue them. The reason is lack of participation. As of right now, the first Varmint match of the year will be held in April, and the decision will be made soon after. The entries just haven't improved as we had hoped, and some tough decisions have to be made.
